I Have A Rendezvous With Death
We've made a new short film...and its a bit different.
We filmed it on remembrance day 2018 and what started out as a plan to film a simple reading of 'I Have A Rendezvous With Death' by Alan Seeger became a bigger undertaking involving three locations and a lot of equipment. Following the minute silence we only had 4 hours to get everything in the can. It was tight but we managed it.
We started the shoot at St Cuthbert’s church, relevant because of its use as a recruitment center during the great war. From there we filmed on Northumberland Street, which was laden with Christmas shoppers and finally we ended the day at magic-hour in Saltwell Park. Beautiful.
Please take some time to watch our little film and let us know what you think. Especially while our minds are overrun with Christmas festivities it is important to remember that a great many people died in order that we can enjoy life with our friends and families.
Don’t take it for granted because sooner or later we all have a rendezvous with death.
